Roatan

Landing in Roatan, you can imagine the Paya Indians still living in the forests; shipwrecked sailors, who shared the islands with green parrots; and sunken treasure ships, now encrusted with fan coral. Ready to explore, you pass wooden cottages balanced on stilts, paths lined with conch shells, harbors of mangrove and fishing boats, all set against turquoise waters and bougainvilla.
